What is Alzheimer's?

Alzheimer's is a progressive disease that affects the brain, causing problems with memory, thinking, and behaviour. It's the most common cause of dementia. Roy Burnham lived with Alzheimer's, which often means individuals require significant support, sometimes in a care home, as their condition progresses. There is currently no cure, but treatments can help manage symptoms.
