Surrey NHS trust joins trial of new Alzheimer's prevention drug

Surrey NHS trust is the first in Europe to take part in the global trial for a new drug called Trontinemab. Researchers hope Trontinemab can delay or even stop Alzheimer's, which causes up to 80% of dementia cases. The drug targets a sticky protein that accumulates between brain cells, and 1,600 healthy adults between 55 and 80 years old are being recruited internationally.
