How do new drugs get approved?

Before a new drug like Trontinemab can be widely used, it has to go through several stages of rigorous testing, known as clinical trials. These trials check if the drug is safe and effective. The Surrey NHS trust is taking part in one of these crucial stages, recruiting healthy volunteers to see if the drug can prevent the disease.
