What is a 'mob' of meerkats?
The story mentions a 'mob' of meerkats, which is the collective noun for these social animals. Meerkats live in large groups, typically around 20 individuals, but sometimes up to 50. This communal living helps them share tasks like foraging, looking out for predators, and, as in the story, digging extensive tunnel systems for shelter and raising young.
