How do we know Mars's insides?

Scientists can't drill into Mars, so they use clever methods. In this case, they used archived data from NASA spacecraft, combined with knowledge about how planets tilt. This allowed them to create a gravitational model, which helps them infer what's happening deep inside the planet without direct observation.
