How can I watch an eclipse?

Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are completely safe to view directly with the naked eye, binoculars, or a telescope. You don't need any special protective eyewear. For Friday's event, the main challenge in London will be the predicted cloud cover and light rain, which might obscure the view of the Moon.
