How bright is Neptune?

Neptune is the furthest planet from the Sun and appears very faint from Earth, even at its closest approach. It's so dim that you'll need a telescope to spot it, unlike brighter planets like Jupiter or Saturn. Its blue colour comes from methane in its atmosphere.
