September sky offers rare chance to see Neptune and Beehive Cluster
September brings several sky events, including two meteor showers that won't be easy to see due to moonlight and low rates. The Beehive Cluster (M44) will undergo a lunar occultation, observable from approximately 4am until sunrise on September 8. Neptune's closest and brightest approach will be on September 26, though a telescope will be required for observation.
