Young people face benefit cuts without training or work

The government intends to cut the benefits bill by removing young people's entitlement to benefits if they do not commit to training or voluntary work. Benefit cuts aim to find savings to help fund defence spending. Prime Minister Andy Burnham additionally proposed tightening benefit claim criteria, stating that the nation must address the welfare bill seriously.
