Turkey's government branded Israeli PM Netanyahu 'the Hitler of our time' after Israel intensified its bombardment of Lebanon despite the US-Iran ceasefire. The remarks followed a sharp public attack by Netanyahu on Turkish President Erdogan, triggering an escalating war of words between the two NATO allies. Israel has maintained that its military campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon is entirely separate from the ceasefire agreement.
