ChangXin Memory, known as CXMT: China's top DRAM maker raised roughly $8.6bn in Asia's largest IPO of 2026, selling about 6.69 billion Shanghai shares at 8.66 yuan each. Now the world's fourth-largest DRAM producer behind Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron, it will spend the cash expanding capacity as AI data centres strain global memory supply. Export curbs have slowed, not stopped, China's chip push.
