Waitrose recalls black olives over listeria contamination fears

The supermarket found listeria monocytogenes in 120g packs of its Essential Pitted Black Olives with specific use-by dates. Customers who bought these packs should not eat them and can return them to any Waitrose store for a full refund. Listeria symptoms can resemble flu, but in rare cases, the infection can cause serious complications like meningitis.
