Fuel Duty to Be Frozen Again in Budget

Fuel duty will be frozen again in the Budget, the BBC understands, with the 5p discount introduced in 2022 staying in place. It forms part of Chancellor John Healey's package to ease pressure on family budgets. Other measures include a permanent 55p-per-mile tax-free rate for the first 10,000 work miles and two weeks of paternity pay for self-employed fathers who previously missed out on it.
