Vanilla vape chemical 'could harm unborn babies', new study warns
Scientists have warned that vanillin, a common vanilla vape chemical, might "compromise core processes of early human development". Lab studies exposed embryonic stem cells to vanillin, finding even low doses caused them to lose pluripotency. The NHS advises women against vaping during pregnancy, as nicotine can also harm developing babies.
