USA Today Co. and its local papers have initiated legal action against OpenAI, alleging the firm reproduced hundreds of thousands of their articles without authorisation. The publisher is asking for over $250 million in damages, saying OpenAI's unauthorised use has caused ongoing harm. This is the latest in many copyright lawsuits against OpenAI, including ones from The New York Times and nearly 400 local newspapers.
