Donald Trump acquired SpaceX bonds worth up to $5 million only two days prior to initiating a drive to reduce bureaucracy for commercial space travel. Ethics filings made public on Thursday show this was one of 517 trades Trump made in August, raising conflict of interest concerns. The White House, however, insists Trump was not personally involved, saying his portfolio is managed independently.
