US sanctions International Criminal Court president and a senior lawyer
The US has frozen assets and limited transactions for the ICC president and a senior trial lawyer. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this is part of a campaign to "dismantle" the court and protect Americans from what he called a "sham". The Trump administration argues the ICC overstepped its authority investigating US and Israeli actions.
