US sanctions foreign companies for helping an Iranian airline move weapons
The US Treasury department penalised six different people and businesses across Russia, China, India and Iran on Thursday. Officials say these foreign agents work for Mahan Air, a blacklisted carrier that moves Iranian military troops alongside drones and weapons. A recent drone attack on gas ships in Egypt pushed tensions higher by threatening the nearby Suez Canal.
