US petrol prices could hit record highs this month despite ceasefire

US petrol prices could approach record highs later this month even after the ceasefire, the Energy Information Administration warned on Tuesday. The agency raised its forecasts and now expects prices to peak at $4.30 a gallon in April. Gulf states shut in an estimated 7.5 million barrels of daily crude output in March, a figure expected to rise to 9.1 million barrels this month.
