US declares China has wrongfully detained an American scholar on spying charges
Chinese authorities arrested Min Zin, an American citizen running a Myanmar-focused think tank, at a Yunnan airport in June. Beijing claims he was endangering national security, but the US State Department officially ruled on Thursday that he is being held wrongfully.
