US DEA joins police investigation into Hayden Panettiere's August 16 death

Police are now examining potential criminal conduct, following the US Drug Enforcement Administration's involvement in the investigation, which began on Wednesday. The Heroes star, 36, died on Sunday, August 16, at a South Carolina apartment, but her cause of death isn't yet known. Her boyfriend reportedly gave police a "bag of medication," though its contents are redacted.
