US bans 43 more Chinese firms over Xinjiang forced labor

The addition brings the total number of restricted businesses to 187, making it the largest single increase since the law began. Officials in Washington accuse producers in sectors like food and metals of using forced labour in Xinjiang, which Beijing denies. Targeted companies include capacitor maker Hunan Aihua Group and Chacha Food, whose products normally ship to nearly 50 different countries.
