US agrees to release frozen Iranian assets as Islamabad talks begin
The United States has agreed to release frozen Iranian assets as peace negotiations got under way in Pakistan's capital, the White House confirmed. Vice President Vance is leading the American delegation while Iran's team is headed by Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Araghchi. The talks are expected to cover the future of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's nuclear programme and the lifting of sanctions.
