Ukraine strikes Russian oil sites in Crimea and Samara
Fuel prices across Europe could feel another squeeze as Ukraine hits more Russian refineries. Ukrainian drones struck an oil depot in occupied Crimea and industrial sites in Russia's Samara region overnight into Saturday. The attacks continued Kyiv's campaign against Russian energy infrastructure. As of October 2025, Ukrainian strikes had forced nearly 40% of Russia's oil refining capacity offline at peak.
