UK to see 24C highs in final summer warmth next week
A "heat dome" from North Africa will bring a last spell of summer warmth, with temperatures climbing above 20C from Sunday. The Met Office expects London and the south east to hit 24C on Tuesday, with bright sunshine across the south and midlands. The final summer warmth follows the hottest summer on record, which saw five heatwaves and drought conditions in parts of the country.
