UK tells websites to delete photos within 48 hours
New government proposals require technology groups to erase non-consensual intimate pictures. Companies failing to comply face penalties reaching 10% of their worldwide revenue or potentially being blocked in Britain. Under these amendments to the Crime and Policing Bill, victims will only need to report specific content once. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer stated that enforcement should match the strict regulations currently used for terrorist material.
