UK faces more snow and ice as cold snap continues

The UK's cold spell extends into its second week, with widespread weather alerts. Overnight, Marham, Norfolk, saw temperatures drop to -12.5C. The Met Office has issued amber warnings for northern Scotland, anticipating up to 20cm of snow. Yellow warnings for ice and snow are in place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The UK Health Security Agency prolonged cold weather alerts until January 11 for all English regions. Storm Goretti is expected from Thursday, bringing strong winds and rain.
