Nazi U-Boat Sunk by Royal Navy Found Off Devon After 82 Years

A German U-boat that vanished during the Second World War after a Royal Navy attack has been found 82 years later, about 20 miles off Salcombe in Devon. Plymouth divers identified U-672 at a depth of roughly 70 metres. Its crew scuttled the submarine in July 1944 after HMS Balfour attacked it, and all 52 survived. A clerical error had recorded the wreck's position wrongly.
