Donald Trump claimed that a wave of empty oil tankers is heading towards the United States to collect crude, responding to the ongoing Strait of Hormuz crisis that has disrupted global energy supplies for over six weeks. The president's remarks came as analysts warned it could take weeks for global oil shipments to recover even if the waterway fully reopens. Brent crude remains above pre-war levels despite falling sharply after the ceasefire announcement.
