Trump Orders Navy to Blockade Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump announced on April 12 via Truth Social that the US Navy would immediately begin blockading the Strait of Hormuz. Ships that have paid tolls to Iran will be intercepted in international waters. The announcement came after 21-hour peace talks in Pakistan collapsed, with Iran refusing to commit to abandoning its nuclear weapons programme.
