Brighton thrashed rivals Crystal Palace 5-0 at the Amex for their first win over them since February 2024. Diego Gómez scored from the halfway line, the longest-range Premier League goal since Wayne Rooney's in 2017. A Jaydee Canvot own goal opened the scoring, and Yasin Ayari, Charalampos Kostoulas and Jack Hinshelwood also scored, matching Brighton's record win over Palace and piling pressure on Pierre Sage.
