American officials orchestrated an elaborate decoy operation last month after discovering a credible danger to the president. He stepped onto the older Air Force One in Turkey for the cameras, before aides secretly moved him to a smaller aircraft. Reporters flying on the decoy aircraft to RAF Mildenhall had to keep their window blinds completely shut.
