Trump ends 2009 climate rule to cut car costs

President Donald Trump has formally overturned a 2009 decision classifying greenhouse gases as a public health risk. The White House claims this major deregulation will reduce manufacturing expenses by $2,400 for every vehicle. However, environmental groups plan legal action, warning the move could cause 58,000 more early deaths. Critics also argue the change increases fuel spending by $1.4tn for American drivers.
