Tories and Reform UK oppose social care tax rises

Both the Conservative Party and Reform UK have stated they will fight any plans by Andy Burnham to reform adult social care if it involves tax increases. Kemi Badenoch, the Conservative Party leader, wrote to Burnham on Sunday, saying any solution must be funded by reducing current spending. She also said any reform must be fair to those who have saved up over their lives.
