Thousands of male sex offenders in prison could get libido-reducing drugs

Around 3,750 male sex offenders in prisons across England and Wales might get drugs to control their sex drives from December 2028. The voluntary treatment aims to help those with intrusive sexual thoughts and urges, with a pilot programme expanding to 20 prisons in November. The drugs, including SSRIs, reduce testosterone or limit sexual thoughts.
