Thailand stops new gun permits after school shooting

Thailand's government has immediately suspended new gun permits after a 14-year-old was responsible for the deaths of eight people and himself last week. The prime minister promised tough new gun control laws, with existing owners already banned from carrying weapons in public. Authorities say the boy viewed violent content online and was interested in guns, alongside anxiety over studies.
