Teenager told she was too young for endometriosis finally gets diagnosis
Grace, 14, from Yorkshire, suffered excruciating pain from age 13 but doctors repeatedly dismissed it as a "bad period". It took a second private opinion for her to finally get an endometriosis diagnosis, which affects about 10% of women. Endometriosis UK, a charity, states that the idea that only older women experience the condition is a widespread misunderstanding.
