Taiwan cuts internet during air raid drill to test resilience
Northern Taiwan experienced a 30-minute disruption to internet services on Thursday during drills designed to assess the island's ability to manage network outages in the event of a Chinese air raid. These "urban resilience" exercises form a component of Taiwan's yearly Han Kuang drills, which this year span 10 days. President Lai Ching-te said the drills are a "necessary exercise" to make society more stable.
