Streeting backs Burnham after removing Starmer over 'integrity' issue

The defence secretary told a Sunday television programme he lost confidence in the former prime minister over a matter of integrity. Speaking to Trevor Phillips, Streeting explained that forcing a leadership change two years into the government was essential. He now fully supports Andy Burnham, arguing the new leader has the exact instincts to finally give voters some lasting stability.
