Aintree has abandoned Sunday's Halloween Family Fun Day meeting, including the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase, after Storm Boelo battered the Liverpool course. Clerk Sulekha Varma said wind speeds had reached almost 45mph, knocking wings and rails to the floor, with no improvement expected until mid-afternoon. Market Rasen passed its inspection and became Britain's only racing meeting. General admission ticket holders will be fully refunded.
