Dalton Smith Keeps WBC World Title in Sheffield

Sheffield boxer Dalton Smith kept his WBC light-welterweight world title with a split-decision win over Alberto Puello on a homecoming night at the city's Utilita Arena. Two judges scored the tactical bout 115-113 for Smith, while the third had it 116-112 for the Dominican former champion. It was the 29-year-old's first title defence and keeps his professional record perfect at 20 wins from 20 fights.
