Tottenham Hotspur's defeat extends their struggle in the Premier League, with the team now sitting two points from safety with six games remaining. Sunderland secured a 1-0 win, thanks to Mukiele's deflected goal in the 61st minute, keeping Spurs without a league victory in 2026. Elsewhere, Crystal Palace beat Newcastle United 2-1 as Jean-Philippe Mateta scored twice, and Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Aston Villa.
