Spain to check Italian visitors at its borders from Saturday

Spain will introduce temporary border checks on people arriving from Italy, starting at midnight on Saturday until 7 September. Italy's own recent imposition of border controls on travellers from Spain prompted the move. Giorgia Meloni, Italy's far-right prime minister, stated her government would not reverse its decision before 15 August.
