Scotland open their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign today against West Indies at Eden Gardens, stepping in after Bangladesh withdrew over political concerns. West Indies head coach Daren Sammy has urged his squad to channel the belief of their 2016 triumph. Scotland spinner Mark Watt aims to extend recent success after wins over the Caribbean side in 2022 and 2023. The expanded 20-team tournament begins with Scotland placed in Group C alongside England and Italy.
