Russian politician Lev Shlosberg gets 11-year jail term for discrediting armed forces
Lev Shlosberg, 63, received a prison term of 11 years and one month on Monday for "discrediting" Russia's armed forces. The court in Pskov found him guilty of "public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the armed forces of the Russian Federation" following social media comments. Shlosberg, deputy head of the liberal Yabloko party, condemned the verdict as punishment for his political stance.
