Russian defector killed by explosion in Crimea, according to reports
Russian reports indicate that a Russian military official, who had defected from Ukraine, perished in an explosion in Russian-annexed Crimea. The man was identified in reports from Russian outlet Astra as Robert Shageyev, but is yet to be officially identified. The explosion occurs over four years following Russia's comprehensive invasion of Ukraine, which began in February 2022.
