Russia tests new tech to block satellite signals

Russia has shown off a new electronic warfare setup named Volna Kupol Garant that targets space-based receivers rather than ground dishes. Dmitry Kuzyakin, designer at the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions, stated that the equipment floods receiving antennas with radio signals to block normal operations temporarily. Officials claim a single setup can build a jamming zone covering 20 square kilometres.
