Russia and North Korea open their first road bridge on Monday
The new one-kilometre bridge across the Tumen River is the first road link between the two countries, which already have rail and air connections. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and North Korean Premier Pak Thae Song attended the opening ceremony via video link. The bridge, which began construction in April 2025, is expected to boost trade, tourism, and cultural cooperation.
