Rubio promises US will keep its friendship with Europe
The US Secretary of State spoke at the Munich Security Conference to support the alliance between America and European nations. Marco Rubio called the US a "child of Europe" but criticised the region's approach to trade, climate change, and immigration. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she felt reassured by his message about revitalising their partnership. His comments appeared friendlier than Vice President JD Vance’s remarks last year.
