Teddy Young, a 24-year-old Royal Navy sailor, appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday facing five charges under the National Security Act over alleged attempts to pass UK defence and intelligence material to Russia. Prosecutors say he kept protected information on personal devices. The warfare intelligence specialist was remanded in custody, with a plea hearing set for March and a provisional trial in October 2027.
